Why do all of your protagonists become monosyllabic mind-readers when having conversations regarding interpersonal relations (seemingly able to deduce vast amounts of information out of as little data as the speed at which one pours a glass of whine), yet launch into 6 minute aural essays while preaching to a choir of like-minded individuals about the virtue of their philosophy?
